James has the ability to spot opportunities and has an in-depth understanding of how an investor can most effectively negotiate and complete a successful transaction. James has established a reputation as a trustworthy person that always acts in his clients’ best interests in an honest, professional and discreet manner.

In 2005 James graduated from university with a BSc (Hons) degree in Estate Management and subsequently qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2007.

James began his career at Allsop LLP in 2005 where he worked in departments including National Commercial Investments, Commercial Valuations/Corporate Recovery and Insolvency, Commercial Auctions and Residential Auctions. During his four years at Allsop LLP, James was involved in a wide range of transactions and valuations of industrial, office, retail and residential investments and developments throughout the UK.

From October 2009 until June 2010 James worked in a specialist team within the Global Restructuring Group (GRG) at the Royal Bank of Scotland. The team focused on advising GRG on a range of property matters for both residential and commercial properties. James also worked within West Register, an internal fund that purchased assets that had been placed into administration or receivership by the Royal Bank of Scotland. Prior to establishing Dunitz & Co. in June 2011, James spent a year working for a niche investment agency based in central London.

Dunitz & Co has an extensive network of contacts at funds, REITs, PLCs, property companies, agencies and banks in addition to private investors. In recent years James has acted on a range of transactions across the full spectrum of property sectors, including portfolios. James frequently sources unique off-market opportunities.
